This Kombo butter is wildcrafted and comes from the seeds of the tropical Pycnanthus angolensis tree found in West Africa, also known as African nutmeg. The rich, unrefined butter has a unique, dark, chocolate-brown color and a fruity and earthy aroma. Our Kombo butter’s texture is thick, grainy, and buttery. It is a silky butter that absorbs quickly and has numerous wonderful benefits. The seeds somewhat resemble those of nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) and are surrounded by a red mace - the aril of the nutmeg seed shell rich in magnesium, copper, manganese phosphorus, calcium, and chromium as well as niacin, riboflavin, thiamine, and carotene. Kombo Butter has traditionally been used as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever for managing arthritis and general body pains. Kombo butter has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, regenerating, anti-fungal, and antiseptic properties. Improves lipid metabolism and stimulates the production of collagen. Its strong antiseptic properties make it an excellent addition to soaps, pomade, and deodorants intended to neutralize body odor. Its anti-inflammatory properties make a great addition to formulations intended to fight acne and various skin infections of sensitive, allergic skin. Kombo butter reduces and controls skin natural oils production, and it's an effective wound healer that speeds cicatrization, helping to avoid scars and post-acne marks. It is extraordinary for balms and products designed to relieve arthritis pains and swelling caused by inflammation, and lack of bone density. Kombo butter can also be used in formulation both as an active ingredient and an emulsion stabilizer. Kombo nut comprises about 75 % of trimyristin - a myristic acid derivative that is used in the treatment of arthritis, and various joint and muscle ailments, has strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and is effective in the treatment of several inflammatory diseases AND Decorin a protein known for for its ability to regulate the production of collagen improving the condition and appearance of the skin as well as stimulates the healing process of muscles injuries.
