This solid, wax-like material has a white appearance and boasts an average of 38% C:18:0 Stearic fatty acid content. Due to its unique properties, it is widely used as a thickening, emulsifying, and stabilizing agent in formulations for personal-care, cosmetics, candles, dietary supplements, and industrial applications. Many everyday products, such as detergents, cleansers, soaps, lotions, haircare products, makeup, and shaving creams, contain organic stearic acid.
