SeaBalance 2000 is an award-winning emulsifier that delivers performance with natural origins from Sargassum seaweed that exhibit skin health-promoting properties, including antioxidants, anti-inflammation, whitening, skin barrier repair, and moisturizing. Sargassum Seaweed is known to do wonders for aging skin by promoting tissue regeneration and increasing skin elasticity and microcirculation. SeaBalance 2000 is packed with nutrients that stimulate collagen production and reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and pigmentation, giving the appearance of plumper, more youthful-looking skin. This upcycled emulsifier can be used to create fluid, low-viscosity oil-in-water emulsions—either via cold or in a traditional hot process. Carbonwave is dedicated to minimizing the impact Sargassum seaweed has on the beaches, which are vital to local economies. For every ton of seaweed used, 450 kg of CO₂e is saved from entering the Earth’s atmosphere. Carbonwave works with local communities in Mexico to collect the seaweed as it makes landfall. The biomass is collected before it decomposes and releases stinky methane emissions. It’s gently rinsed, dried, and transported to Puerto Rico, where Carbonwave’s proprietary process extracts the emulsifying components from the sargassum to produce SeaBalance 2000. Directions & Tips
Add SeaBalance 2000 to water phase and disperse using a homogenizer or immersion blender. Once dispersed, add remainder of oil phase and continue to homogenize until no large oil droplets are seen. Add citric acid to water phase before adding SeaBalance 2000. This will reduce any odor. Homogenize immediately after adding SeaBalance 2000. This will disperse it evenly. SeaBalance 2000 works best with plant-based oils. May exhibit freeze/thaw challenges with non-polar oils or esters. Incompatible with cationic ingredients.
