Batana Oil also referred to as American Palm Oil, is extracted from the American palm tree and has been employed for generations in Honduras to maintain healthy skin and hair. This cold-pressed oil, derived from the tree's nut, is known for its antioxidant properties, making it a beneficial additive to body care products that helps nourish and guard the skin against damage caused by environmental toxins.

Batana Oil is a powerful blend of natural compounds, including Tocopherols & Tocotrienols (Vitamin E) for shielding skin from UV rays & pollutants, Omega-6 Linoleic Acid for its anti-inflammatory effects, as well as phytosterols & carotenoids for stimulating collagen production & reducing the signs of aging. Nourishing, anti-inflammatory, & anti-aging, this oil provides exceptional skincare and haircare benefits.

This oil is a powerful emollient that nourishes hair and scalp, especially for those damaged by exposure to UV light, pollution, or hair dyes, leaving it feeling silky and strong.

Note:  When ordering natural butter or oil, it is important to recognize that exposure to elevated temperatures during shipping or processing can affect its texture. In such instances, the butter may become liquefied, but it can be subsequently emulsified and rapidly cooled, resulting in a smoother, more homogeneous consistency upon solidification.  Additionally, a white film may appear on the top layer.  That is normal and is referred to as fat blossom.  It is a thin layer of separated fats from the product.

This truly pure batana! 🥳

I had been on the hunt for pure batana but running into some fake or not-so-potent batana from other companies left me sour and surly. And then I remembered Steven from days using Etsy and thanked the heavens for remembering the name of the store. I am beyond ecstatic because by the scent alone I can tell this TRUE batana and I have been using it every night since it was delivered. It is so soothing and beautiful and I thoroughly enjoy the nutty coffee scent. Thank you for honoring nature and for keeping batana pure. This is truly worth every cent. 🙏

Batana Oil, "One Step Beyond" Just A Treatment for Your Hair

Once I was introduced to batana oil, I could not wait to obtain my own jar! I was first compelled to do my very own research and I found that Bulk Naturals had just what I was looking for, and that their customer service/support was spot on when it came to delivery!
So, now that i have had some time to experience it, I will share my journey (thus far), with you.
To begin, I wear my hair naturally, and with the products I use in my hair regimen, there was something awry. My hair and scalp was pretty much dried out, with frazzled ends and some excessive loss occurred while combing.
The oil contains nutrients, essential fatty acids like beta carotene, phytosterols and anti-oxidants that not only enhances the texture of your hair making it softer and more manageable, but nourishes the hair and scalp with the effects of a deep moisterizing conditioner for all hair types.
Oh, but that's not all, it is also enriched with vitamins A, C, and E and I have used it to moisterize both my face and body as a part of my regimen as well.

Excited✨

It’s my first time trying it. However, I have not one complaint. I’m feeling pretty positive about it, and I can’t wait to see the magnificent results. I believe!

Smell

I usually like all the butters I purchase from Bulk Natural, but the smell on this oil was horrible. It smells of pure cigarette smoke or burnt food. I am not sure I will be able use it. I read a little more about the smell and it has made me question if BN is selling the best available product. There is no way to use this on your hair or skin without smelling like a chain smoker.

Burning during extraction:
The primary reason for the smoky smell is that some producers extract batana oil by burning the plant material, which imparts a burnt, tobacco-like aroma.

Quality of extraction:
High-quality, cold-pressed batana oil is processed at low temperatures, minimizing the burnt smell and preserving more nutrients.
Natural scent:
When extracted properly, batana oil should have a more nutty, earthy scent, not a strong cigarette-like odor.
