BTMS - 50 Conditioning Emulsifying Wax Flakes

BTMS-50 Flakes are 50% active Behenyl combined with cetyl Alcohol & Butylene Glycol. This combination makes a superior quaternary conditioning agent and cationic emulsifier Quaternary conditioners, also known as quats, are special cationic surfactants (quaternary ammonium compounds) carrying positive electrical charges. Quats have long been a favorite hair care ingredient for consumers and formulators alike. These molecules come in many forms and are used in shampoos, conditioners, and treatments for conditioning hair, providing repair benefits, and preventing frizz and static build-up.

BTMS-50 is a remarkably effective detangler for hair, yet is safe and gentle enough for leave-on skin care. It produces luxurious cationic emulsions that are incredibly mild when used on hair and skin. These emulsions leave hair tangle-free and feel silky smooth and provide skin with a soft, powdery, and successive after-feel. As a primary emulsifier and conditioning agent, BTMS-50 has a wide range of applications in hair care and skin care.
